About the Event
A need in our local community has arisen and I am hoping members will be willing to help. Baby quilts are needed for NICU at the Crossville hospital. This is not an intro to sewing class. You must know how to use your machine. Bea Mehl will teach us how to create and assemble the quilts. Blankets donated would need to be turned into ETGC to be eligible for volunteer hours. Hours will be determined once we know how long it takes to make the blankets.
Supply list:
1 yard of cotton fabric (baby theme - NO GLITTER)
½ yard of an accent color for a border – (NO GLITTER)
1 yard flannel backing
Spool of thread to match fabric
Scissors – cutting mat and roller cutter if you have one.
Stick pins
Sewing Machine - in working order there will not be anyone to do repairs this time.
Power cord
Walking foot for quilting (if you have one)
Class is free for members and $5 for non-members.
Doors will open at 8:30 so you can set up your machines and be ready. Class will start at 9am.
Parking behind church off of Neecham Street.
