Beginner's Guide to Kombucha Brewing

This class is for individuals who want to learn to brew Kombucha for the first time and need a SCOBY to get started!

If you can brew a pot of tea, you can make Kombucha. The only trick to making delicious Kombucha is finding a good “mother” to get you started. This class is designed to teach people who are new to fermentation and want to brew and maintain a Kombucha culture at home.

Participants will receive a starter kit (cost $10.00) containing a highly virile and sought-after SCOBY, 1-gallon jar with stick on thermometer and 2 cups of starter tea.

This is a hands-on class separated into the following main topics:

• Introduction to Kombucha

• Preparation for brewing

• First stage fermentation

• Second stage fermentation

• Maintenance and Storage

• Flavoring

• Troubleshooting

Together, we will brew a batch of Kombucha tea and you will take home everything you need to start your own Kombucha brew at home.
