Let’s be honest, attending a compound butter class doesn’t exactly scream wild night of fun right? But what if I told you that you’ll be whipping up something called a Béchamel sauce…. sounds pretty fancy right? Spoiler alert, It’s really just butter, flour, and milk working together to make you feel like a kitchen rockstar.
In this fun, flavor-packed class, Chef Kitty will show you how to create those “wow” moments right in your own kitchen.
First we’ll dive into two pan sauces, one of them being that “fancy” Béchamel sauce. The other one is a rich tomato pan sauce, just as elegant, just as easy and all without breaking a sweat.
You’ll also learning how to make compound butters that will turn any dish into a masterpiece. Sweet or savory, compound butters are the icing that steaks beg for.
You’ll leave with simple techniques that make you look like you’ve been hiding your secret chef skills all along. Excited yet?
Class Fee: This class is free for all 2026 ETGC members. Please remember to bring your membership card. For all non-members, the class fee is just $10.
TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP WITH CLASS: Please register for class and follow the directions. Volunteers are required to arrive a half hour early and stay a half hour after class ends.
