About the Event
Join us for this hands-on class and master the essential pie-making skills all bakers should know. Chef Kitty Philips will walk you through the steps for mixing, rolling and baking the 2 different crusts for the perfect pie every time. Then together, we’ll learn to make three delicious sweet pies.
As a special treat, one of the pies is called Shoofly Pie. This pie developed its traditional form among the Pennsylvania Dutch in the 1880s. Folks back then ate Shoofly Pie with strong black coffee for breakfast. Pie for breakfast - yum!
During this class you’ll learn everything about making the perfect pie and after class we will relax, enjoy a cup of joe and a sweet dessert!
