About the Event

This will be your first chance to join as a 2026 member. Applications and instructions will be available on our website at https://www.etgc.org/join. Printing and filling out your application before you arrive will help us keep lines short. Checks or Cash only. Memberships are for your immediate family; only one application per family is needed.

Annual Meeting:

The meeting will begin with a brief presentation about ETGC, a recap of last year, and a summary of what to expect in 2026. Followed by your first opportunity to submit your application for 2026.

Cost of Membership:

ETGC membership costs have increased due to higher operating expenses (e.g., storage, online fees, trailer maintenance, and insurance). Membership for 2026 is $25 for a Volunteer Membership (requires 10 hours of volunteer time with ETGC) and $75 for a Premium(non-volunteer) Membership. As a reminder, ETGC is a volunteer-run organization and needs volunteer members.

Membership Limits:

This year ETGC will be accepting a maximum of 150 Member Families.

ETGC is getting back to its roots, focusing on gleaning and preservation education. We are looking for members who also share this goal. The days of large handouts of donated food are coming to an end. We need members who are excited about going to the fields, working for their harvest, and making the most of what they get at home.

Gleaning:

ETGC is coming into harder times gleaning, the "seconds" produce we have come to rely on is now in high demand and small farms are closing. ETGC will find new farms, which may include harder work harvesting, and more travel.

Classes:

ETGC member education this year will be more about the preservation and use of the items we glean. Education is one of the hardest things ETGC does; we need members to volunteer to help make it work. ETGC is about members passing what they know to other members. If you can help, please let us know on your Application.
